A female and a male singer share the support of a powerful instrumental accompaniment that is characterized by drums and percussion elements which are unmistakeably original. Together, they create a unique style in which Kontrust excells: TRIBAL CROSSOVER!

With a very special live show, countless plays on the radio, TV-shows and numerous reports about Kontrust in the print media and on the internet, it comes as no surprise that the band's name is coming to be known even beyond Europe's frontiers.

Awarded with the Austrian Newcomer Award 2006 and an additional Audience Award, Kontrust could take it easy. But they rather kept busy finishing the video of their latest single "phono sapiens" ("Welcome home", 2006) -- demonstrating once again their intended target .

Founded in 2001, the band makes Vienna their home town.At the moment, Kontrust progresses with giant strides and enormous motivation towards their next album.
