I wrote this song in July of 2001, just before the start of my senior year in High school. It has always been one of my favorites and I hope you enjoy it too.

I wrote "Katie's Song" in 2005 for a friend. The lyrics perfectly reflect the reason I wrote the song.

Katy is a nice girl who deserves the world
But why did she decide to trust in me
What she wanted was just one song, not very long
But why did she decide to rely on me

Its sad that its taken me this longforgive me
Among her group of friends I shouldnt belong
But heres my chance to shine with full redemption
Hoping these words cure my forgetful symptoms

When I wrote and sang a song for Jill, Katy just sat still
But I think that they both liked Jills song all the same
But when she asked me for a song as well, I was compelled
To change the subject matter to reflect the truth
