Chaconne (16) began studying piano at 2 and guitar at 6 with her parents, both professional musicians. In 2007 she won the Society of American Musicians Classical Guitar Competition, Senior Division, in Chicago,IL; Rantucci International Guitar Competition, Youth Division, in Buffalo, NY; and the East Carolina Competition Guitar Competition, Youth Division, in Greenville, NC. In 2008 she won the Appalachian State University Guitar Competion, Division 2, (15-18) in Boone, NC; the Boston Guitarfest Competition (18 & under) in Boston, MA; East Carolina University, Division 2, in Greenville, NC; and 2nd in the Columbus State University Guitar Competition, Division 2, in Columbus, GA. In 2009 she won the Society of American Musicians Classical Guitar Competition, Collegiate Division (18-24), in Chicago (the youngest winner ever in this division). She was also a finalist in both the Parkening International Young Guitarist Competition and the Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition, Senior Division. Chaconne studies privately with Denis Azabagic and Anne Waller, and has masterclassed with Eliot Fisk, Adam Holzman, Lorenzo Micheli, Jason Vieaux, Andrew Zohn, Stephen Robinson, and many others .
