Movies and Shows: It's too hard to choose! Current favorite movies though would be Leon: The Professional, Hard Boiled, Shaun of the Dead, and Pulp Fiction. My current favorite television shows are Arrested Development, Spaced, The Office, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - not to mention 1 million different cartoons and animes.
Music: I have a hilariously varied taste in music, from metal bands like Metallica, Slayer, Testament, Megadeth, and Meshuggah, to electronic acts such as Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Portishead, and Daft Punk, to more mainstream acts such as Madonna, and LOTS of things in between.

My local ASDA (wallmart) has real cheap guitar strings that, with a lot of tuning and stretching, are very playable. Generally go for around £1.80. Also, do you string backwards? By putting the round end in through the head tuners? that way if it breaks at the bridge end you can just re-string it. That's saved me loads of strings.
