All five members of the band have come through the ranks of Sydney's tight-knit community of professional musicians and performers. Forming under the banner of King Farook in 2006, they recorded their debut album Land of the Horny while firmly stamping their mark on Sydney's live music scene. Remaining independent, they funded the entire venture off their own backs. They followed their album launch to a capacity crowd at Sydney's Annandale Hotel the night before New Year's Eve 2006 with a blow-away performance the very next night as the surprise stars of Peats Ridge Festival.

Since then their profile has increased, winning competitions like the Epic Sydney Performers Challenge, gaining national radio airplay and touring interstate. As the word-of-mouth buzz grows, it's just a matter of time before the music of King Farook finds its rightful place in the hearts of music-lovers everywhere.
