The TRUTH of the matter is that the best defense against an EMP attack is the anti-Ballistic Missile Defense shield. A project which will be procured very shortly. Terrorists, Iran, and North Korea all lack the ability to put a nuclear device on a missile with a long enough range to put it over our heads, which would be required for the EMP to cause any major damage.
Furthermore, it is so insanely expensive to defend against this 1 in 2 Trillion threat that it'd be a better use of our tax dollars to fund a National Department of Alchemy to see if we can't replenish our gold reserves. Both ideas are insanely wasteful.
If a private company is REALLY worried about EMP attacks, then they should either build their electronics in lead boxes or make the switch back to analog technology, which isn't vulnerable to EMPs.

You need to learn a few things about EMPs, Kev. It was a disgrace to see your blog and the nonsense you posted, blaming "Huckabee" and denying the threat of an EMP attack. Go ahead and TRUST this government, but do it at your own peril. The truth should be made available to your readers.

I do like Huckabee... but he was for making it states right to fly the Confederate flag at there capitol... he would not have a chance in 08 due to that. I am backing McCain because he is the right choice. Obama is worse than Carter when it comes to being far left. Not only that, but he is flipp-flopping his way to the center. I can't stand that radical left. I am proud that an African American can go that far today in America... but I do not like Obama. He would bring destruction to this country. I would like a McCain Huckabee ticket. Huckabee is a great speaker and strong Christian.

You better check your senses because Huckabee has no resources in man power or finances..A Chuck Norris endorsement is a mockery of a NRLC which is about a real issue...Huckabee has humor because he has no substance...His state of AK turned against him and all GOP'S went Thompson...If the NRLC wants a win they must pick the most electable after record checking and that's Fred Thompson....n Paul is the ideal candidate who has a beer shot than Huckabee, and that is an outside shot.....Vote FDT or RP...they are the real conservatives that can beat a real liberal in the general...
