Katy Dillon has been the instructor for the WV Highland Dancers for over ten years. She received her associate's teaching certification at the age of 17 and her member's certification when she was 20. The WV Highland Dancers travel their state to perform at events and festivals. Many members of the group also enjoy competing. The group has grown over the years to include over 25 members.

Most recently, the group has been into choreographing new dances. They also (once again) performed their original production "The Glass Ghillie" in March of 2008.
