Forgot to say that I thought Thandi Newton was a bit disappointing as the wife in The Pursuit of H... Not sure if it was her or the writing but the character seemed a bit unconvincing to me... Anyway will stop going on about this now!

Hey, Dev Patel - yeah, a bit blank maybe and the film actually stops working in the last part where the romance works itself out - but the younger actors are great, and I think the movie works well overall... Could be worse, you could have had to sit through all (nearly) 3 hours of the Watchmen film - spectacular folly... looks great, sounds great, and the performances are all great, but in the end it's a completely pointless reproduction of the comic book... an homage I guess!

The Pursuit of Happiness is a great film - the actor playing the little boy is excellent. In a similar vein (I know it's heavily hyped) Slumdog Millionaire is really great...
