Georg Kajanus is the creator of such bands as Eclection, Sailor ('Glass of Champagne' - 'Girls Girls Girls'), DATA & Noir (with Tim Dry of Tik & Tok).

After the break-up of his group Sailor in the late '70s, Kajanus experimented with electronic music with his new project, DATA, which consisted of Kajanus and Frankie & Phillipa Boulter.

The classically orientated title track of DATA's first album, 'Opera Electronica', was used as the theme music to the short film, 'Towers Of Babel', directed by Jonathan Lewis and starring Anna Quayle & Ken Campbell. (Awards: BAFTA & the Silver Hugo Award: Best Short Film, Chicago International Film Festival, 1982.)

Kajanus followed 'Opera Electronica' with two more albums: the experimental '2-Time' (1983) and the Country & Western-inspired electronica album 'Elegant Machinery' (1985).

In the late nineties, Kajanus left Sailor Mark II to form the poetic-techno duo Noir with Tim Dry (previously of Tik and Tok). Although never given a proper release, Noir's single 'Walking' was used as the backing for an unprecedented eight music videos.

Noir's CD 'Strange Desire' was released in September 2007 on Angel Air Records.
