This site presents my most valued facts and opinions on health care, education, the environment, the war in Iraq, impeachment, campaign finance reform, human rights and civil rights. I try to emphasize solutions over complaints.

Things this country has done wrong can be done better and will be done better once the public demands it.

Strengthening and promoting independent media are essential to preserving and protecting our democracy.
Name: Jerry
I have been an interactive media developer for more than 35 years, having co-authored research projects with some of the early pioneers of the industry. During my career, I have developed and consulted on interactive media for agencies of federal and local governments, as well as for universities, private businesses and nonprofit groups.

I use a systematic approach to learning; working in depth with clients and subject matter and then analyzing the effects of my programs on my audience. Programming is continuously fine-tuned via automated feedback from learners. For each project, I work to establish automated learning systems which clients are able to master and then continue programming with only limited consultation from interactive media specialists.

I am a media chameleon, specializing in environmental, historical and medical education. I served as Communications Co-chair, Webmaster and Database Manager of the International Interactive Communications Society (IICS) Minnesota Chapter.

As International Vice President of IICS, I produced the interactive media panels for NAB 2000. My presentation to broadcasters was about Educational Interactive TV.

I served as an international coordinator of interactive media judges at Milia d'Or 2000 in Cannes, France and coordinated judges regionally for the International Film and Video Festival in Chicago.

Forgiveness is the key
There is plenty of blame that could be placed on many people and groups. I hope that one day you will be open to some kind of solution to the problem of man's inhumanity to man. (2 months ago)

I feel the same way. I hope the changes on the horizon are not too little and too late. We will have to keep the pressure on our elected officials. I plan to do that. (4 months ago)

Al Gore Accepts Nobel Peace Prize - Part 1
All of us can learn how to waste less and pollute less. We can join community groups for local action and we can vote for those candidates with the strongest ideas and programs for protection and restoration of the environment. (5 months ago)

On Dec. 10, 2007, Al Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with the vast majority of climate scientists publicizing global climate change. His acceptance speech is vitally important to the planet while Gore himself is being vilified by spokesmen for polluters.

The same week as this speech, Bush Administration Climate Officials are obstructing efforts to develop cooperation to save the planet. Once again, short-term financial gain for the few is being placed ahead of the vital needs of humanity, e.g. to have a safe planet on which to live.

How can this be anything but a climate crime?

Impeach Bush and Cheney now!
Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! details how the mainstream media have endorsed the Iraq War by the way they have covered it. She shows how they have failed to show the consequences of the war and thus have failed in their duty to their democracy.
Professor Chomsky speaks of the "good news" coming out of Iraq -- the values that Iraqis share with the American people. He details how the wishes of the majority of the world are in contrast with American foreign policy. He explains how those who disagree with American "owners of the world" have, in effect, become "un-people" to the administration.

These topics are mostly absent from the political discussion featured in mass media but they should be seriously considered if we want to take back America. Democracy Now!
