Hey Boris, great channel, very informative. It's nice to see that you take your time explaining and demonstrating......I have plenty of "dog owner home movies", but i do agree that i would also like to see YouTube feature a lifting video.

hello. how are you? i would like to ask you some questions if you don't mind. does wide stance squats work on quads, hams and glutes equally? thanks for posting up your videos! it helped me a lot.

Thanks for the message Mark.
In general you want to stop before your form starts to break down, but you have to train heavy to be able to maintain form on heavy lifts. Develop solid technique and it should become automatic. When you are very fatigued or when you are really pushing a max, there may be some breakdown but (hopefully) it will only be momentary and not dangerous. I hope that's helpful... not really answering the question maybe. |

Thank you for these fantastic videos.
These are really helping me improve my squat technique. My rounded lower back rounds a little less every week. I am a poor squatter. I am 6'2'' and can only squat about 155kg below parallel. However, I can deadlift 220 quite comfortably (with, admittedly, a little back rounding). My question is on form with relation to reps. I have very rarely seen a lifter who, when lifting ~100% RM, uses perfect form. The same goes for the end of a set when the lifter is tired. Would you recommend lifting with form that is not perfect, or stop lifting once the form begins to wane? Most personal trainers would say stop, but I need to get used to a larger weight and have to be stronger than the weight to actually lift it (I bottle it, basically). Thanks again for all the great advice in the videos. Mark, England |

Thanks everyone.
I haven't seen a lot of good instructional videos on technique on YouTube and that's the main reason why I started the Squat Rx series. I can't say that I've found anything substantial on bench or DL, but I haven't really looked either. As far as tendonitis, yes, if I overdo front squats, for example, after a long time away from them, I'll have some nagging pain. Probably not helpful at all but all I can say is don't do too much too soon and back off if those symptoms appear. |

Do you ever have a problem with Patellar tendonitis as a result of olympic deep squats or am I just squatting too often!
