You hate all runners. Btw, I ran a 4:06 1500m. I must be on drugs right? You are jealous of everyone's natural accomplishments.

John, You need to learn about the events. The 10 was the FIRST event. He didn't "lose 50 yds", he was barely behind the last runner in the pack. The pace then SLOWED. Ask Frank. Most everybody at that level can hammer close to 4 for the mile. and hos last 400 was 55, a far cry from the 50 seconds you said. It is a shame that you choose to damage fine performances without anything to verify it.

There were only jealous rumours as this one, that they did blood doping, because at that time it was used in sports. But Lasse Viren or his team never got any actual charges. Steve Prefontaine was a very tough competitor, but sadly died in a car accident (I guess?) Viren is a four-time Olympic winner and nowadays MP in Finland. He was amazing in Munich 1972: fell down and still ran WR in 10 000m!!!
