Arlo on his LOST WORLD TOUR doing a tribute to HOYT AXTON! Our dear friend and cousin to Arlo. They were so proud to be cousins. Mama Mae Axton, (Hoyt's mom) had an idea for Arlo and Hoyt to make an album together and call it, "Cousins". It never happened, but it was a great idea. He was Uncle Hoyt to ALL of our kids and we miss him like crazy!

Okay, here's the story.

About a year before I met Arlo, I was camped out for about five weeks in San Felipe, 120 miles South of Mexicali. My car broke down and I got a ride home to make enough money to fix my car and live down there for 6 months.
Hoyt gave me a ride to the Mexicali border, where I jumped on a bus headed for San Felipi. Hoyt dramatically crossed the boarder with his guitar and pretended to be my boy friend and started serenading me as the bus was pulling out. The people on the old bus were smiling and loved it. There were chickens on the bus too. Anyway, Hoyt went back to Hollywood and wrote this song. So, this "adventure" was an inspiration and Hoyt's great, colorful & beautiful imagination wrote this song

Back in the old Troubadour days, Hoyt Axton and Doug Dillard were my best friends. We had lots of crazy & fun adventures!

Bob Duane sent Arlo this DVD of his animation of Arlo's Mooses Come Walking poem with Alice Brock's illustration. I saw it on Arlo's desk before we left for Carnegie and then off to Florida and packed it.
Six months later, I finally watched it and IT'S GREAT! Arlo is out on the road, so I sent it to him just now and he really liked it too! So, thank you Bob for doing such a great job! Here is his website:

On June 24, Iranian Superstar Andy Madadian went into an LA recording studio with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and American record producers Don Was and John Shanks to record a musical message of worldwide solidarity with the people of Iran. This version of the old Ben E. King classic is not for sale - it was not meant to be on the Billboard charts or even manufactured as a CD.....it's intended to be downloaded and shared by the Iranian people...to give voice to the sentiment that all people of the world stand together....the handwritten Farsi sign in the video translates to "we are one".
