TAB AVAILABLE READ ON...okay it's a "girly" song, but my wife has always liked it; well she did like it until I started arranging and practising it for fingerstyle ;)
It's the glimmer of hope/ray of sunshine from Alanis Morissette's otherwise rather angry Jagged Little Pill album. I remember listening to it many times when it first came out, and while the other songs on the album gained the most air play, I always considered it the best song on the album. I have noticed however over the years that it has been more appreciated than it initially was.
As usual I haven't properly finished learning it and just watching back the video I can see bad tempo, missed notes but as always I present it here for you warts and all :)
It's tricky, don't be fooled. There is fast fingerwork required, both hands, and the beat is synchopated. I can never remember which verse comes where when I'm playing it, so my apologies to the Alanis fans where/if I muffed it up.
I've seen a video of Alanis playing an acoustic version, and I hoped to get that kinda sound. The harmonica solo was no doubt the most challenging part, I hope you appreciate it!
Anyway, enjoy!
