Jared Sales is a comedian and filmmaker who originally hails from Detroit, Michigan and emigrated to Toronto, Canada at the age of 11.

Having become an avid filmmaker at the age of nine with the family video camera, it wasn't long before Jared combined his cinematic eye and natural wit to the delight of audiences around the world.

Being involved since the infancy stages of the Internet video craze, Jared's videos have been viewed by several million people around the world. His films have also been featured on the front pages of the largest video sites on the Internet including YouTube, Myspace, the iTunes store, Funny or Die (placing 1st and 2nd in their Funniest Video in Canada contest) and Crackle.

In 2003, Jared began performing stand-up comedy, which merged his love for found items and PowerPoint. He has since gone on to perform his highly original multimedia performances across Canada and the United States. It wasn't long before Jared and his work was broadcast around the world on CTV, CHUM, Fox UK, CW Network and XM/Sirius Satellite Radio. Sales has been a leading force on the fledgling Toronto comedy scene having been a founding member of such highly acclaimed live shows such as Righteous Wednesdays, Laugh Sabbath, Not Safe for Work (Now Magazine's 3 comedy show of 2007) and Canker. In addition to the aforementioned shows, Jared also collaborates monthly with comedian Sean Cullen on videos for his live chat show, The Sean Schau. In 2006, Jared joined the Toronto based sketch uber troupe The Sketchersons and in 2007 after several previous nominations, the group won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Sketch Troupe.

Sales also lent his talents to the emerging satellite radio medium as the head writer and host of XM Radio's The Humber Report, a satirical send up of news and talk radio.

Jared placed 1st and 2nd in 2007's Funniest Video in Canada contest, which was sponsored by Will Ferrell's Funny or Die.com. Jared has been tapped to direct 13 episodes of a new web series based on the winning film, Everydave Life. The film will also be screening in competition at the 2008 Just For Laugh's Film Festival..

Recognized as one of the world's foremost experts on the subject of viral media, Jared currently teaches a college course on the issue as part of Humber College's School of Comedy in Toronto.

Combining his love of music with his natural eye for film, Jared began directing music videos in 2007. Jared has since directed several music videos for bands such as The Bicycles, Laura Barrett, The Gravity Wave and Boyfriends and Girlfriends. Jared's music videos have been recognized and applauded by such media outlets as Much Music, MTV, The Toronto Star, Now Magazine (Toronto), Eye Weekly (Toronto) and Time Out Magazine (New York).

In 2007, Jared took the helm of an interactive DVD board game for Toronto pop darlings The Bicycles. Released in the summer of 2007, The Good, The Bad, The Interactive DVD Board Game was received with much critical praise.
