yeah i guess they are practicing tow surfing as it seems pretty un-neccessary otherwise as they can paddle in and still make it. i think that sponger is crashy at a guess? bodyboarders showing how its done!

this wave would be so much crazier if the reef was shallower and the wave actually pitched top to bottom because they are just riding the shoulder there, they cant get into it at all; dont get me wrong those surfers are good guys.

this is a wave; it is not a tsunami, and it is real.
its jaws on oahu in hawaii and thats mike parsons surfing it.
Put simply, a big swell due to a deep low pressure north of hawaii, hits the reef which exagerates the swell height by abo...
wouldn't call this a slab, from this angle anyway. looks like a closeout point break with a barrel towards the end.
