1911 - 2008. His funeral service took place on September 26, 2008 at the Naval Academy where he graduated in 1933. Radm. Cobb was buried on the Naval Academy. His ceremony was full Military Honors. The Navy Band played at the Chapel. The Band escorted the funeral procession to his grave site which is located on the Naval Academy grounds. The Navy Band played at the grave site. A Bagpiper played at both the Chapel and the gravesite. There was a 13 Canon fire salute from across the Severn River and a Rifle volley. Taps were played. Admiral Cobb is remembered as a man of great integrity, generosity, patriotism and optimism. He touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
