Jakej5 is a site that aims to solicit discussion and debate on the ongoing revolution in the Philippines. The site aims to counter state propaganda represented by biglandlords and compradors in the Philippines aimed in destroying the revolutionary movement. Jakej5 site hopes to help the struggle of the Filipino people by putting media coverage in the mainstream media inorder to clarify issues as well engage in debate, be that those who are simply apologist to the exploitative and oppressive regime or simply those who just want register their voice whatever that may be.

I was in Manila when Bush came to visit. That day I was supposed to go to a friends home to meet his family and have a traditional meal. we had to pospone it because to get to his home we needed to travel on a street that Bush would travel on. It was CLOSED to civilians. Ppl cold NOT leave thier homes, could NOT have company over. That would NEVER happen in Canada. People would NEVER stand for it. They spent so much money to beautify the streets that Bush would travel on for his 12 hr visit to ask for support in his "war on terror" I saw the poverty first hand. That $ could've been spent in better ways. I loved visiting the Philipenes, the ppl are AMAZING, the country is beautiful. But there are horrible things happening there.
