Hero Carl Sagan can rest in peace now since we have gun owners to protect life since they claim guns protect and defend people, right ?

Leading preventable deaths in the USA per year:

1 ) Smoking 435,000 deaths
2 ) Overweight / Obesity 365,000
3 ) Alcohol 85,000 deaths
4 ) Infectious diseases 75,000 deaths
5 ) Toxins 55,000 deaths
6 ) Motor vehicle collisions 43,000 deaths

7 ) Firearms deaths homicide related 12,000 deaths

We can't ban 1 - 6, but we can ban # 7 !

Obama ban guns !

Gun owners, rednecks, hicks, conservatives and other not so smart people claim the 2nd amendment is there to protect and defend the people. Really ? Want another example other than the E.L.E as mentioned above ?

Let's give 3 examples:


1 - An asteroid exploded above Siberia on June 30, 1908 also known as the " Tunguska Event " . The rock was about 100,000 tons and the size of a LARGE HOUSE. It shattered in the air, while about four miles from the ground, creating an explosion 1,000 times stronger than the Hiroshima atomic bomb. It demolished over 800 of square miles of forestation.

How are gun owners going to protect themselves if an asteroid, not the size of a large house as in 1908, but next time the size of San Francisco hits the earth with immense speed ? Shoot at it with your little guns ? Guns can't even defend gun owners from an asteroid the size of a small car when hit close to a gun owner.

2 - What when a gamma-ray burst strikes the earth at the speed of light and vaporize our planet, how will gun owners defend us ? Never mind, I already know, they will shoot their little bullets at the Gamma-ray bursts.

3 - How is your gun going to protect you form a super volcano as the one that happened in Toba, Sumatra, Indonesia 74,000 years ago that wiped out 90% of all life and we as humans faced near extinction. Look at my playlist on my channel of the BBC documentary of a super volcano. Yellowstone is one of them and in Indonesia there are many more since Indonesia has 17,000 Islands made by volcanoes. Your guns will be useless or will you fire your bullets at the lava or shoot at the smoke to prevent it blocking the sun light ?

Conclusion: Guns can not protect and defend you and your family thus the claim coming from gun owners that guns protect and defend is bogus !

The fact is that more people will get depressed in bad economic times and are willing to commit suicide, and some will take out others with them in public shootings, that's why we need a gun ban now more than ever. Now gun owners will claim that citizens with guns protect against foreign countries ? Really, then how is a gun going to stop a nuclear tipped ICBM traveling at 25,000 mph ? Guns in hands of citizens have no use other than to kill other fellow citizens.

The ONLY groups that can have guns are:

1 ) cops and the military when they are on duty. They can't have guns at home, only when on duty.

2 ) Olympic shooters, LBGT community, Jews, disabled people ( wheelchair example ) can carry guns with them at any time. The last 3 groups because they face hate crimes from conservatives and Olympic Shooters can keep firearms because they need to win medals.

The rest of the population has no right to own guns, especially not heterosexual males since they statistically commit most homicides and genocides ( Stalin, Hitler, etc )

Why are guns bad ? Humans are, without a doubt, the deadliest creatures on the planet both to ourselves and to the animal kingdom. Our formidability, however, does not come from any natural gift but rather from our minds, our ability to create weapons. Our sick minds and creating tools to kill, not only ourselves, but animals as well, is bad for all living creatures on the planet. If we just stop making guns and ban them, there will be more animals and people will not get shot either.

I support our troops and my brother used to be F 16 fighter pilot with the USAF, but gladly not anymore ! NATO spends 85% of world's military, useless ! Abolish the military or something, we have cops and European NATO allies to protect us.

Another fact is that there are more stars in the universe than there are guns and ammo in planet earth.
