Digital Stories are a series of auto-biographical mini-documentaries that tell the life stories of Southern African migrants, highlighting the issues and consequences of labour migration, including issues related to HIV and AIDS and gender-based violence. In partnership with the Centre for Digital Story Telling (CDS) and the Market Photo Workshop (MPW), IOM brought together 8 men and women from South Africa and other neighbouring countries to Johannesburg in March 2007, to tell stories that highlight the issues and consequences of labour migration.
