Former Smiths frontman Morrissey has quit a concert early for the second time in two weeks - after being hit by a drink from the crowd. Witnesses told how he was struck at Liverpool's Echo Arena after shaking hands with fans. The missile appeared at first to be a half full plastic glass. But around 25 minutes after the singer left the stage a member of the crew announced he had been hit on the head by what was described as a bottle. He said the concert would not continue. The attack happened after Morrissey opened with This Charming Man and was in the middle of the song Black Cloud.
