Rookie QB Matthew Stafford, aided by a pass interference penalty in the end zone with no time remaining, drove the Lions 88 yards for the game-winning touchdown -- a 1-yard pass to TE Brandon Pettigrew. Jason Hanson's extra point sealed the Lions' dramatic win. Game ball Stafford shook off a left shoulder injury suffered on the game's second-to-last play to throw the game-winning touchdown pass in obvious pain on the next play. It was Stafford's fifth touchdown pass of the day, making him the first rookie QB to accomplish that feat since 1950. Stafford finished with 422 yards and two interceptions on 26 of 43 passing. Key Stat Brady Quinn started out the game red hot, going 8-for-9 with three touchdowns in the first quarter, but cooled off thereafter. Quinn went 13 of 24 with one touchdown the rest of the way. Noteworthy The Browns won in Detroit for the first time since Sept. 9, 1983. ... Lions coach Jim Schwartz said X-rays to Stafford's shoulder were negative, but would not give any more details. ... The 37th annual show, which airs on ABC live from Los Angeles on November 22, will also feature performances from Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas and, in the television debut of the title track from his upcoming album For Your Entertainment, Adam Lambert. The American Music Awards show is one of four annual major American music awards shows. The AMAs were created by Dick Clark in 1973 to compete with the Grammys after the move of that year's show to Nashville, Tennessee led to CBS picking up the Grammy telecasts after its first two in 1971 and 1972 were broadcast on ABC.
