Sandro de América le dijo adiós en definitiva a su amigo el puma... y a toda Argentina y Latinoamérica. El cantante, comparado con Elvis Presley y quien fuera considerado uno de los ídolos más grandes de ese país sudamericano, no pudo sobreponerse a las complicaciones que vivió tras un trasplante de pulmones y corazón. El deceso de Roberto Sánchez conmocionó a los argentinos, quienes durante las últimas semanas estuvieron al pendiente de su estado de salud y de su internamiento en el Hospital Italiano. Sandro marcó un parteaguas en la historia artística de Argentina, no solo porque sus canciones eran un éxito en venta de discos y en las estaciones radiofónicas, sino porque durante sus presentaciones bailaba de una manera sugerente y que arrancaba los gritos de sus seguidoras. Sin embargo, tras meses de una larga enfermedad, la tarde de este lunes perdió la batalla quien hiciera un éxito temas como Te propongo, Rosa Rosa o Mi amigo el puma. La noticia comenzó a dar a vuelta al mundo al filo de las 18:00 horas. Entre sus logros más destacados figura que fue el primer cantante latinoamericano que logró abarrotar el Madison Square Garden, en donde sus seguidores tuvieron la oportunidad de corear sus éxitos.

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's fast new trimaran, sitting dead in the water, appears to have been deliberately rammed and critically damaged by the much larger Japanese whaling ship (the Shonan Maru No. 2), despite claims from some that the Ady Gil rammed it. Here is the footage from the Japanese ship: judge for yourself. Did the Ady Gil attempt to start its engines and get away, only to fail? Did it first try to move forward, then backward after the ramming? Hopefully further investigation will clarify the matter, but regardless one has to ask why the Shonan Maru No. 2 was heading directly for the stationary boat in the first place and why did it turn to starboard, t-boning the Ady Gil. All of this may have also served to disorient the Ady Gil captain and crew.
