YouTubers are spreading viral videos urging people to boycott YT's advertisers, to sign petitions in order to stop YouTube from going more corporate. They want to keep YouTube solely in the hands of the average video uploader.
The thing is, they're wrong. YouTube is hemorrhaging money. Average video uploaders like me are not generating the money needed to keep them afloat. YouTube needs corporate sponsors and a new business plan if they wish to stay in operation.

"Last summer, a YouTube exec told an industry group the company was selling ads against fewer than 3% of its total views; The Wall Street Journal pegged the number at between 3% and 4%."
"YouTube users upload 15 hours of video every minute of the day; in a real sense, the company is providing bandwidth and hosting services to much of the world for free, at a cost Credit Suisse estimates at $1 million a day for bandwidth alone. Further, about 70% of YouTube's views come from outside the U.S., a much tougher sell to advertisers, and many of its premium-content deals cover U.S. audiences only. Globally, YouTube is monetizing at a much lower rate."
"According a recent report by analysts at the financial-services company Credit Suisse, Google will lose $470 million on the video-sharing site this year alone."

In those darkest days, one constantly confronted with hunger, brutal enemies, overwhelming forces of nature, fearsome predators; religion had ever been there to help.
Should we give religion some credit ?
It's not religion ! It's the people behind it ! People use it for their self-serving goals as well as for good causes.
At this very day human still use religion to fight against its very own evil ... of greed, tyranny, dysfunctional government...etc.
No matter how wrong religion is as people said, it has noble cause, its positive side and it serves its purpose.
Religion is a product of human, it is here to stay until the end of human race.
