I'm Called George was first conceived way back in 2010 with George on guitar and vocals, and James on keyboards... and that was it!
A year, and many failed attempts later, I'm Called George was finally formed as a four piece electro-pop powerhouse with the addition of Elmo, our beautiful bassist and blog writer, and Connal, the beast on the bongos. Moving base from the middle of nowhere down to the middle of London, Zone 1 became our new home, playing gigs at 229, Water Rats, The Bowery and O2 Islington.
Now approaching the end of its second year in action, I'm Called George is heading for the big time, with a new single (49 Soda + A Bottle of Rum) due in October, to accompany the first -- 'Jigsaw' -- and many more gigs dotted around the country for you all to rave it up at!
