Impending Doom was established by its founder (NOVA) and co-founder (LTMIC) on September 16, 2002. At that time, NOVA was new to the concept of internet gaming and was completely blown away by what SOCOM online play offered. After meeting up with LTMIC in a public room, the two got a taste of the ever changing online experience, coupled with the social aspect of the SOCOM game (driven by the games voice chat). It was immediately obvious to them that this game was much bigger then the typical shooter. It was a great way to get competitive, friendly people together for much more then some gaming. What originally was very casual suddenly became more serious. NOVA focused on organizing the clan, while LTMIC assisted in the recruiting process. With the help of its members, a few months later, ID_ established a website.

Now in its 5th iteration, IDCLAN.net has progressed through multiple website designs, message boards. This site has grown with the clan and will continue to do so in the future.

Now, over 4 years old, ID_ has remained committed. Many of the original members are still active and we are continuously searching for new members who display the ID_ caliber. With annual clan gatherings rightfully named "ID_Fests" and the daily contact via the website and games, the clan has a stability that cannot be denied.

ID_ is constantly moving forward. Even with its obvious roots beginning in SOCOM, ID_ has since became a multi-gaming clan. ID_ has become a larger, and more diversified gaming community. In 2006/07, ID_, with the help of its leaders will spread to even more games, and platforms, while remaining focused on its goals of keeping a tight knit community. With well over 60 members, ID_ has proven that a well managed gaming clan with the proper resources can flourish where others continuously falter.
