As you can see below, I did apologize. I also deleted the pelican comment which was made in retaliation and was obviously too hasty on my part. I took your initial comment as an insult about a person I deeply admire for all the good he has done to help the children of Kosovo, victims of the tsunami, orpans of the Iraq and Afganistan wars, and for his more recent attempts at trying to bridge the gaps and misunderstandings among matters of religion.

Yes, I have heard of the Chekhov play. And no, I didn't take back the comment about your Boston spring break destination. Perhaps you can enlighten me on why Boston would be a delightful choice for a spring break destination. :)

I apologize if I misunderstood your intent. I just don't understand how anyone can say he (Yusuf/Cat Stevens) is a bit of an extremist now. Years ago, when he was naive, he made controversial comments on a Brittish (hypothetical Q&A) television program about Salmon Rushdie but has explained and apologized for his lapse of stupidity and poor taste. More recently he has performed for celebrations of peace honors for several people including Nelson Mandela and has received an award himself as a man of peace. He released a box set of 72 of his songs specifically to donate the proceeds to the victim's families of 9/11. Please read about his current activities and all that he has done to help orphans and the poor.

Why did you say Yusuf (Cat Stevens) is a bit of an extremist now? Are you a bigot? Is he a member of Hamas, Al Queda, Hezbollah, Muslim brotherhood, or any other fanically "extremist" terrorist organization?

He is not an extremist anything. He's a monderate muslim who loves the Creator, peace, the poor, downtrodden and justice and works tirelessly to help the helpless. So do I, so I guess I'm an extremist, too, in your stupendously ignorant and immature opinion.
