ILeWoman--this was an absolutely phenomenal video and MOST COMPREHENSIVE in its wide scope. The litany of abuses suffered by Hillary Clinton thanks to underhanded means and well-camouflaged sexism, and sometimes not camouflaged, as in the atrocious YuTube mega-hit: "OBAMA GIVES FINGER TO HILLARY" --TOGETHER with the media misogynist frat-boy antics aimed at Hillary, pushed Barack to a fraudulent 'finish-line" of superdels.....
Your video will serve as a PERMANENT REMINDER of the sexism and arrogance and undemocratic, unprincipled campaign tactics of Obama and his unthinking supporters. thanks for a job well done. I wish you'd contact Larry Johnston at NO QUARTER. It's a wonderful, pro=Hillary site and I think he should feature your video! Also, Clinton News...... thanks again!!! v |

McCain campaign communications director Jill Hazelbaker:
"Today, Barack Obama has revealed himself to be just another typical politician who will do and say whatever is most expedient for Barack Obama. "The true test of a candidate for President is whether he will stand on principle and keep his word to the American people. Barack Obama has failed that test today, and his reversal of his promise to participate in the public finance system undermines his call for a new type of politics. "Barack Obama is now the first presidential candidate since Watergate to run a campaign entirely on private funds. This decision will have far-reaching and extraordinary consequences that will weaken and undermine the public financing system." |

Analysis: Obama Chose Winning Over His Word
Thursday, Jun. 19, 2008, AP LIZ SIDOTI "Obama blamed his decision in part on McCain and "the smears and attacks from his allies running so-called 527 groups." But he failed to mention that the only outside groups running ads in earnest so far are those aligned with Obama — and running commercials against McCain. So much for being a straight shooter." |

"'Change We Can Believe In' has been thrown overboard for 'Political Expediency I Can Win With,'" said Todd Harris, a Republican analyst and aide to former presidential candidate Fred Thompson in the primary. "Every time Obama's change rhetoric meets his actual change record it evaporates in a cloud of hypocrisy."

Analysis: Obama Chose Winning Over His Word
Thursday, Jun. 19, 2008, AP LIZ SIDOTI "The Democrat once made a conditional agreement to accept taxpayer money from the public financing system, and accompanying spending limits, if his Republican opponent did, too. No more... the first-term Illinois senator tarnished his carefully honed image as a different kind of politician — one who means what he says and says what he means — while undercutting his call for "a new kind of politics." McCain, for his part, painted the issue as a character test, saying: "This election is about a lot of things. It's also about trust. It's about keeping your word." |

"Barack Obama has rejected each and every offer to raise the dialogue in this campaign. As the St. Petersburg Times wrote today, Barack Obama's words come down to "cynical political calculations," not the new politics he promised:
"Avoiding town hall meetings and rejecting public campaign financing may be predictable strategies for minimizing one of McCain's greatest strengths and exploiting one of his key weaknesses. But they pull Obama down into the cynical political calculations he pledged to rise above." (Editorial, "Obama's Big Words Ring Hollow," St. Petersburg Times, 6/20/08)" —Steve Schmidt, McCain 2008 Senior Advisor, June 20, 2008 |

"But when examined closely, more often than not these words are empty of any meaning in the light of his record and reality.
As we scrutinize Barack Obama's words, it is increasingly difficult for those of us with the responsibility of following this year's election closely to discern what Obama truly believes at his core on the issues of great importance to the American people. Obama's Words On Public Financing: Just yesterday, Barack Obama reversed his position on accepting general election public financing. This change in position comes after nearly two years of speaking to and signing his name to his commitment to the public financing system."—Steve Schmidt, McCain 2008 Senior Advisor 6/20/08 |

"Just one day after breaking his word to the American people that he would accept public financing, Barack Obama went before the cameras to make clear he opposes any measure of short-term and long-term energy relief. He is now on the record opposing every single initiative that might help Americans with their current pain at the pump. Barack Obama himself has said that the only problem is that gas prices went up too fast. The American people cannot afford Barack Obama's do-nothing, out of touch energy policy."—Tucker Bounds, spokesman John McCain 2008

"Barack Obama's assertion that the only problem with higher gas prices is that they've gone up too fast — saying he'd prefer a 'gradual' increase instead — shows how clearly out of touch he is with Americans struggling with record gas prices. At a time when Americans need relief at the pump, Barack Obama's support for higher gas prices and higher energy taxes is just another example of his weak economic judgment."— McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds
