The City of Houston made significant changes to the floodway ordinance that have devastated property rights. These revisions became law October 1, 2006. Did you know? We didn't.

The most alarming restrictions prohibit all new construction, substantial repairs and improvements of existing homes and businesses. Appraisers have said that all floodway lots may lose up to 95% of their value.
