My name is Adam Traum and welcome to the Homespun Tapes YouTube channel.

I have been around the music business since I was born. My parents, Happy and Jane Traum, started Homespun Tapes in 1966 with a small selection of lessons on reel-to-reel tapes and over time stayed on the cutting edge in the music instruction world, helping countless numbers of musicians to play better since the company's birth 41 years ago.

After 20 years of working as a professional photographer and a musician, I am happy to be editing Homespun's videos and administering the official Homesun Tapes channel where you will find samples of these powerful learning tools.

These lessons have been a huge influence on my own music, exposing me to world-class artists and teachers that I might not have known otherwise.

	lafreeway (5 months ago) I learned to play guitar mostly by the cassette tapes I ordered from Happy Traum 30 years ago. Going Down That Road Feeling Bad and There's More Pretty Girls Than One were 2 of my early favorites. I had the pleasure of meeting Happy at a guitar festival in San Raphael, Ca a few years ago and he is just as charming and warm as he appears in the videos. Thanks for making all this great music available to dummies like me.
