i c u put up a vid of milkin buffalo but it says u removed it wil u up it up again???... can believe some eejit from over here said all dat.. u didnt mention how ugly buffalo are r big n they r prob have a tiny amt of milk.. i hope u dont intend trading in your friendly, gud looking milk machines of holstein cows!!!!!!!!!!

lol 190? We send about 1900 through the shed twice aday lol. The smallest herd, exculding lames and penos is about 400 and the other 2 are like 650 and 600 lol.

LIC suck luv. Tit placement is all wrong, plus the girls are nasty little screws. We had to cull a few of them after calving because their udders where THAT bad! They basicly blew out poor things. We use LIC milking system (WHICH SUCKS!) but we use Ambreed bulls. Better tit placement, better temper and better calving ease. But we have to record with LIC because thats just the way the system is.
Yeah, cross a holstein with a jersey you get a nice little calf. The hoof is harder and the MS is better, though less volum because Jerseys don't have the capacity. Jersey cows basicly look after themselves, dont require as much intake as blacknwhites but dont produce as much white gold. A cross is rather small and usally all black.
We use jerseys over our maidens. We did use waguy but those calves were awful and the girls were having a bit of trouble.

Wow i miss the UK. But i wouldnt come back. How many mooers u got? All holstien? We run 2000 holstein girls and a few jersey crosses who are very nasty. They are out to grass all year round and get supliment on top of it. We calve 3 times a year, 600-700 girls a time, winter milk and rear 300 replacements...not enough but still.
