"Set sometime between "The Runaway Bride" and "Smith and Jones", Clue Hadley spends her entire life under the guidance of Mr. Weston Hall, a mysterious man who tells her of her alien bloodline and to hate her only enemy, called the Doctor. But when she finds herself falling hard and fast in love with the man she is supposed to hate, she will have to choose between her homeworld and the man who destroyed it. Based on the song "White Houses" by Vanessa Carlton."
That being the synopsis of "White Houses" off of A Teaspoon and an Open Mind.

Okay. This time around it was fanfiction trailer.

A couple of things:
The story is rated Teen, because it deals with things of a mature nature, but it's not graphic or anything.
I apologise for the quality of the clips - I hadn't realised how bad my Ballet Shoes and Blackpool stuff was.
And the song is the instrumental of "White Houses" by Vanessa Carlton.

Winner of Second Place in Challenge Four of the Imagination of the Soul Contest!!
We're venturing into uncharted waters now. Do you trust me to get you out alive?
Hah.
Well. This is something I think I've always subconciously wanted to do. Gaius (from Merlin) has this great mysterious past and there aren't any explainations as of yet as to what's gone on ;)
This is my entry for round five of the Imagination of the Soul contest :)
SO.
Child Gaius. He's got magic talents that he can only sometimes control. Nimeuh shows him a few tricks.
But she has high expectations for him, ones he doesn't think he can fulfill. And he defies her. She punishes him by burning down his house, killing his father (whom he adores, but who doesn't always agree with him on magic) in the process.
Giaus grows up. He's an intellectual, studying medicine and magic and anything he can get his hands on. He's loving life in Camelot and things couldn't get any better - when he meets Gwyneira and begins to fall in love. Giaus is at the top of his game: he's practicing/studying magic, trusted by the king, and even a bit of a mentor to the king's son and his ward.
BUT THEN -
Uther has him arrested (this is the start of the Great Purge. Nimeuh says in 1x13 "You watched as our friends burned. You are nothing but a traitor.") and offers to spare his life if he renounces magic and gives up the names of those who practice it. He has to give up Gwyneira.
The rest should be obvious ;)
