Refusing the worn out formulas of current mainstream trends in favor of making the most genuine music possible is no easy task in today's recording industry. Hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, Asleep is a band who has managed to create a refreshing, unique new sound surrounded by a strong regional buzz all within only a little more than one year after forming. Sucessfully blending the sounds of the underground with a marketable sensibilty is what Asleep does best resulting in a distinguishing stlye that has been more than well-received to audiences throughout the northeast to the midwest and midsouth. What began as demo material with engineer Bill Koreky of Mars Recording Studio has blossomed into so much more. After spreading these two songs to literally thousands of listeners the band then signed to Cleveland independent label Fractured Transmitter Recording Company (owned by ex-Mushroomhead lead singer Jason Popson). After spending all winter recording its first full-length release, All These Things We'll Never Need , which will be released to eager fans this August, the band is now poised to tour the nation full-time in attempts to live out their dreams as they shop for major label support. The members of Asleep are no strangers to performing to large crowds having supported numerous major label acts such as Hawthorne Heights, Motley Crue, Three Days Grace, Trapt, Mushroomhead, and Thornley to name a few. Music is from the heart, not the pocket. The members of Asleep truly believe this and feel their hardwork will continue to allow them to do what they love for an ever-growing audience.
