Hello to everyone. My name is Matija Cizmar and I am from Zagreb, Croatia.

I am not a member of any band. I play as a pure hobbyist, and I did not use tabs on any of my songs - played them all by ear.

I started playing guitar in 1995, at the age of 15. Mark Knopfler won me over from the very beginning with his guitar sound.

Learning to play MK's songs required (and still requires) a lot of hard work. Playing for 8 hrs in a row avery day was almost a standard in the beginning when I had more free time as well.

On my videos 3 guitars can be seen: my very first one Sigma-M (sold a year ago, featured only on "Sultans of swing live - old version"), then Squier with 3 Texas Special pickups (I still own it, played it until September 2008) and my most recent one is Mark Knopfler signature Stratocaster.
