I'm sorry but you are mistaken here. In "True to the Faith" pg 153 it talks about Eternal life and it says if you are talking about eternal life referring to exaltation, you cannot know and anyone who says they know is a liar.

I guess we assume that they were pure gold because they dont mention that is wasnt pure gold or that it was an alloy. So the question is what were they made out of if not pure gold? What would be light enough to run three miles and still be able to fight off people?
