As played on BBC Radio 1 and Tiesto's Club Life. This is my new remix of Empire of the Sun's "Walking on a Dream".
Supported by Judge Jules, Tiesto, Mat Zo, Mark Eteson, Mike Shiver and many more.
Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic music duo which formed in 2007. The duo is currently composed of Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau. The pairs name comes from the 1984 novel of the same name by J. G. Ballard.
The duo achieved chart success with their first single "Walking on a Dream" which peaked at number ten on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and reached number sixty four on the UK Singles Chart.
Their debut album also titled Walking on a Dream, released in October 2008, to date has been certified platinum in Australia and has spawned the top 25 hit "We Are the People". Recently Empire of the Sun has gained mainstream media attention for gaining fourth position on the BBCs annual Sound of Music poll 2009. They are currently signed to EMI Australia and Virgin UK.
England based DJ and Producer Mike Foyle has certainly made a name for himself over the last few years as a producer, composer and DJ that you can rely on. Mike is best known for integrating his lush piano compositions with smooth, melodic trance music, and has now released four piano trance hits on Armind Recordings along with remixes from some of the best producers on the global dance music scene. Between his own name, his various aliases such Andromeda, Statica and Bolt, plus numerous collaborations with the likes of Filo & Peri, the Signalrunners and X-Vertigo, Mike has put his hand to a broad range of styles from the serene and uplifting vibe of Love Theme Dusk to the smooth, progressive and lush Bittersweet Nightshade and the dark, eerie and ridiculously roof rattling Hex This guy delivers anthems like your postman delivers the mail
His DJ sets are an affair just as eclectic, featuring anything from classic trance to modern and edgey madness drenched in tantalising melodies, atmospheres and soundscapes, all expertly blended together, putting him in DJ booths worldwide from London to Edinburgh and from Jakarta to Hollywood.
Armed with a potent classical background, he is also well respected as a composer of piano music, and has begun working alongside film production companies in a bid to further develop his skills as a writer and producer on the audio-visual playing field.
Having gained a Degree and National Diploma in Music Technology, Mike is now working on experimental sonic arts projects, the most notable of which is a project designed to integrate music with audio based brainwave entrainment and biofeedback.

The Chicane video for "Hiding All The Stars" is attracting a good deal of comment, much like the sleeve for the single (check the website http://www.chicanemusic.com/)
The video which features long time Chicane vocalist Tash Andrews in two distinctly different guises that has upset some unaccustomed to seeing girls boxing.
The last two Chicane videos including the hit 'Poppiholla', have dealt with misconception. Indeed, when the cover of 'Hiding All the Stars' was first issued people thought that a woman with a black eye must be the subject of abuse. As always in life jumping to conclusions is a tricky thing. The film reveals that Tash or her character, likes to box.
Nick was intrigued by the 2012 Olympic committee's decision to allow boxing to be included in the Games, and coincidently saw feminist Germaine Greer's views on the BBC's One show. We all jump to conclusions, and he thought Germaine would be anti the sport - she initially was, but having spent time with some female boxers, she saw how empowering it was and shocked herself by realizing it could be a good thing.
The One Show's blog showed just how contentious the whole thing is, people were incensed by the idea of the 'last bastion of maleness' being infiltrated. The media is male dominated so it will be interesting to see the reaction there, if any of course. The video's supporting cast include Jacqui-Lee Pryce, a boxing coach and actress (Mike Nichol's Closer, Doctors), who works with the Olympic team and Mitch Horner, (The Bill, Grange Hill), Ola, who featured in the last Chicane video, 'Poppihola'.
The fact a glamorous woman likes to box is something the world will have to come to terms with, like women soldiers being in the front line. Like a lot of life we may not agree but we salute the freedom of the individual. Tash enjoyed the training, it is one of the hardest sporting disciplines in the world.
The video was shot in the east end of London. Misconceptions are everywhere, one that commonly occurs with the band is that Nick or Chicane is a DJ.
