I understand that the goat vid sparks very strong emotions...I didn't post it on here for either pro-meat OR pro-veg reasons, nor did I post it to revel in violence. I just wanted to portray an aspect of reality that most people would never otherwise see. It just...is.

hi there. i saw a bit of your video on mongolia, and i was just wondering if you know if the mongolians have any ties with the hmong. i, myself, am hmong, and know of a folktale of how mongolia came to be: long ago, the chinese took over the hmong kingdom (present day southern china), and one daughter of the great hmong king Chiyou (who is also regarding as a founding father to the chinese, and might be to the Korean also) moved up with a division of the hmong people. being her name was Mao Gao Lia, they established Mongolia. Also, we have naturally blonde hair hmong, as i've heard so does the mongolians. (i saw a documentary about an archeological find that linked the mongolians to the amazonians, which explains the blonde hair)
being involved in many migration, we lost many part of our history (leaving us with only oral history), so i was just wondering if you may have some insight. i apologize for the long message and thank you. Ian |

It was cool to see the gerbil you caught. It looks exactly like the gerbils in pet stores.

Hey Amanda,
Looking at your interest and all, I get sadder and sadder I did not meet you out there :) I like your phrase about 'selling ones soul to facebook' - it expresses my own opinion beautifully. Right. Now for looking at the death of a goat and long back.... you're not the only one who misses Mongolia. A lot. :) Marie. |
