Green Acres - Original? It's the same as the TV theme show intro- with almost the same lyrics.
PeekabooScreech: Didn't the contest rules prohibit videos using copyrighted material?
StapletonDenver: Section 2 - part C did state that "All Submission Materials must be the submitting Entrant's original, sole work,..." Vic Mizzy owns the rights to the Green Acres theme song as well as the lyrics. Vic should get the scooters.

Deciding factor
StapletonDenver: Deciding factor.. I guess in the end it didn't matter how many ratings or views the youtube video had. The WINNER had a quarter of the views and ratings others had and posted their video only 1 day before the final day. Congrats to the WINNER!
firstghetto: Be nice, StapletonDenver. The contest winners made a funny and creative video; the winner could easily have been any of 5 or 6 videos, perhaps, and as you yourself helped bring up earlier, there was ambiguity in the rules that pretty much allowed them to choose their favorite video. Even though I would have loved to win, I can see how tomandga's video met their expectations, and I'm very happy for them.

hortrene: Hey, I entered to get the money to the Urban Farm. I thought this way supposed to be a fun fundraiser type of thing. Its a shame we can't all play nice. Kudos to those of you with community spirit. I encourage anyone who wins anything (or anyone else who can) to consider making a donation to the Urban Farm, they really need the help!

Rules for Entries changing? NOT FAIR! :o(
StapletonDenver: Just got an email Friday stating: "The resident who submits the video with the most votes will receive TWO scooters from Sportique Scooters." Don't they know that anyone can sign up for as many accounts and vote for their own video? And I think that has already happened.. So it should read "Who has the most amount of time to sign up for YouTube accounts wins!"
StapletonDenver: On the www.stapletondenver.com site it post: "The top one (1) Entry from all Entries by Residents will be deemed to be the "Winner," as determined by Sponsor and based in part but not solely on the ratings made available by YouTube." ~~ again stating "not solely on the ratings made available by YouTube." The way the videos wins is not very clear and make it very easy for someone to "cheat".. and you see it happening now. (read other posting)

firstghetto: That's because someone logged on as about 20 different users (within about one hour on Wednesday night) and rated one video 5 stars 20-ish times, all the other videos 1 star 20-ish times. Hmmm...
StapletonDenver: Yes, I would agree. Don't understand how these are being voted on. Looks like the same person just signed up for many accounts and rated themselves... doesn't seem like a "fair" contest. They need to re-think the rules... and how the winner wins.

Per the rules, "Without limiting the foregoing, any Winner who is a minor in his or her residence will be required to have his or her parent or legal guardian affirm in writing such Winner's acknowledgement and agreement to the Official Rules and Submission Agreement, in order for such minor to continue to participate in the Contest."

Below are tips for filming the award-winning submission: Don't pan back and forth during filming. Don't zoom in and out excessively Lower quality video with great audio is much better than high quality video with poor audio. Keep editing simple. There is no need for lots of flashy effects. Plan your scenes before shooting them. Have fun and be original!
