help with convincing students that RE is vital to everyday life. I teach in a very small minded community who see RE as useless and 'why do we have to do it', 'whats point in learning about religions'. I am wanting to put together a montage of stuff to blow them away with WHY it is important and how it impacts on everyday life, Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.

budd1234: These videos can be saved and viewed on large screen/iwb etc by copying the url and using www.zamzar.com to convert the file into avi (for windows media player). Fast and free - sent to an email address.

LisaSJ28: Brilliant idea - means I don't have to waste time looking for videos. Pupils also think its quite cool for an RE teacher to be usng Youtube in lessons - it grabs their attention straight away. Have used quite a lot as starters to lessons, particularly at GCSE. Also used one as a reflective piece in a Sixth Form Assmebly

angelfacere: Hi probably a bit late now. Hubs bought me a dvd last Easter a new one called The Nativity Story. If you do a search for that on youtube you'll find loads. If you're cleverer than me (not difficult!) You may be able to upload it to here. Sssh! Don't tell hubs I don't actually need the DVD anymore! Aint technology a fab thing!
