The Criticisms
MostDisgust: People have started doing more than posting MRirian imitation videos now. Some people are posting videos where they talk about why they resent her, why they think she is a disgrace to YouTube, etc. These people have obviously missed seeing what is nice about her videos, and only see them from their own negative perspectives.
MostDisgust: One accusation they make is that she is an "attention whore". Because she "does practically nothing but look into the camera", and yet she gets millions of views, they resent it. They even claim that it is "driving them crazy", that they are so upset about it that they can't even discuss it calmly. My feeling about this, like most of the other accusations being flung at Magi, is that it applies more to the person saying it than it does to her.

YouTube love and hate
MagiMysteryTour: MRirian has made it to Japan, been on national TV, and come back home, and made more videos like her earlier ones. Her fans increase, and maybe her fans increase more than her haters. But her haters continue, and use anything they can find to try to insult her. Lately it seems to be mostly about her crooked teeth and her lack of fluent Japanese in a live situation. The people criticizing her for this probably can hardly speak any words of any other language, plus weak English skills as well
MagiMysteryTour: In spite of all the wishful thinking of the devoted Magibon fans, the haters are not going to disappear, or stop being hateful. The amount of their activity might fade off as they get bored with her, but they will never entirely stop, no matter what we do or say. In the end, what it all reminds me of is high school. The same neverending pointless hatefulness we had to tolerate or deal with in high school continues to exist, and expresses itself throughout YouTube.

Genius
MagiMysteryTour: The genius of MRirian's videos is that they make us think, because they give us questions rather than answers. And they do not do this by asking us questions. If she merely asked us what do we think, we would get bored and not care about answering them. The questions her videos give us are the questions that WE ask ourselves. The lack of information and discussion about what she is doing and why, cause US to ask ourselves questions. THIS is what causes us to think. And THAT is her genius.

MagiMysteryTour: People comment that her silent videos can have no meaning, because she says nothing. But saying nothing can say a lot. The idea of Magi supporters becoming a cult who took her as their leader, would not be so novel. There was a guru guy in the 1960s era name Meher Baba, who spent several decades never speaking, at least never speaking publicly, he would just sit and smile. His claim was that he was an incarnation of god (which you could say we all are), and he had NO NEED to say anything.
MagiMysteryTour: And there was a whole cult following of Meher Baba, thousands, maybe millions?, of people who felt comfort in believing that Baba was god, and that merely to be near his smiling self was rewarding in itself, no need for him to speak any words. So if people decided Magibon was a silent spiritual guru, that wouldn't be such a new concept. Plus, she's a lot prettier to look at than Meher Baba.

Being Yourself
MostDisgust: The amount of negative response to MRirian's nothing videos answers another question, a question that I often ask myself. If you have definite opinions about something, opinions which other people from around the world as you find assembled on YouTube might object to, how much should you try not to express those opinions to avoid offending or angering other random people? If you simply keep your mouth shut and say nothing, avoiding controversy, is that the best thing you should do?
MostDisgust: A good example of this question is the French actress Marion Cotillard, who recently expressed her suspicions about who REALLY caused a certain destructive event 6 years ago. She expressed an opinion that millions of other INTELLIGENT, ALERT people around the world have felt for 6 years, more often than not repressing it to avoid getting others angry. The level of supression of free speech and free thought is so deep in our society that a person is not even allowed to express any DOUBT at all

Flag the Hateful Videos
MagiMysteryTour: There are a number of sick people making horrible videos about MRirian. They show her being killed, or attacked, or turning into a monster. One person just talked about how much she hated her, but the title of the video was "MRirian MUST DIE". When they get this bad, there is something we can do about it. Underneath the video, where you click to save to Favorites, you can also click FLAG. Then choose "Hateful or Abusive Content", which is what they are, from the choice of reasons. Thank you

Critical Mass
MostDisgust: What an apt Topic title this is! Magibon's YouTube hugeness is reaching monumentalness. Last week Vlogolution did a Magibon spoof, now TheHill88 has made a video about her (the same old FAQ questions that everyone asks). The information, of course is out there if these people wanted to actually look. http://home.arcor.de/firithfenion/ answers most of their questions. When the little mysteries are answered, how long will people remain interested? Not forever.
MostDisgust: What a critical mass most of them are. The supporters, when they make a Magibon video, tend to just imitate her, rather than discuss WHY they like her. While the critics either do a violent insulting imitation, or sit there ranting about how she is a stupid disgrace to YouTube. Like other YouTube trends, this will eventually blow over. People will get tired of it, and move onto another fad. But for the moment, the Magibon phenomenon is heading toward a peak.
