What does 3:16 mean to you?
BaseballFreak74: God gave his Son (Jesus) as the ultimate sacrifice to die for us. That means because He (Jesus) died for us we have a chance in this world. All we have to do is believe in Him, it's just that simple. Jesus took all our sins, all our negative stuff and took full blame for it so we could live. There is no greater love than the love Jesus showed for us by dying on the cross for us!
songman1950: In August 2006, I lost my 21 year old son to a drug overdose. Through this experience, God has taught me so much and drawn me closer than ever before. When I think about 3:16, and thinking just from a human perspective, the pain I felt from losing my son (and certainly not of my choosing), it gives me such a feeling of the love involved that God speaks of here.
