The SheaCycle is a pedal powered nut grinder.
It has the potential to improve the income of hundreds of thousands of impoverished women in West Africa by allowing them to produce a surplus of shea butter which they can sell in the local or international markets.

Pedal powered dual action electric generator using two flywheels, two 12 volt batteries, two 750 watt power inverters, and two permanent magnet generators. One generator is 1 horsepower and the other is 1/2. At 75 pedal rpm's the machine generates approximately 12.5 - 15 volts on each generator and 4.2 amps on the 1 hp and 3.5 on the 1/2 hp. The total output is approximately 110-115 watts.

While it has become apparent that pedal power can produce electricity, the challenge, i found, was to seek the inspiration, and innovate the "idea" not simply create another way to plug into pedal powered (DC), just to get AC. With this new management system, the ' i ' card will plug into 'the little red box' that's been charged by the bicycle. Inside that little red box is a power regulator, generator and a battery. After a long bike ride (or in a car), plug the ' i ' card into the regulator to build credit. The regulator records how much you save when you plug 'the little red box' into an AC plug in your house. Then when you're out on the town, use the 'i' card 'ini'where and everywhere that you see Mr. ini one, to spend your credit or redeem cash!!!
