In a few months, we'll be gathering the entries we feel are particularly exceptional and highlighting them. There are no rules to this - be as creative as you like. Create a music video, or a short film, or something completely abstract. Use only one track from the album, or use multiple tracks.

Join this group and add your video to submit it to the film festival.

Some tips and guidelines for video submissions:

- Prepare your content in the highest resolution you can, and hang on to the original files, in case we want to use your video for something beyond the scope of YouTube.

- This project will be going on for quite a while, so take your time. Please don't just submit simple image slideshows.

- This isn't a place to submit your musical remixes or vocal performances that don't include any video content - if you have audio-only creations using Ghosts music, please contribute those to http://remix.nin.com

- Incorporating copyrighted materials (clips from movies, unlicensed stock footage, music by other artists, etc) into your video might limit our ability to feature it in the future. The same goes for filming of people or locations without their permission. Anything goes on YouTube, but we'll have to play by the rules for other outlets, so if you want your video to be eligible for anything we come up with in the future, make sure its content is fully cleared.

- Clips that are clearly not legitimate festival submissions (i.e. promotional videos for unrelated content with Ghosts music thrown over them) will be discarded.

- Make sure we can contact you about your video. Upload from your own YouTube account that you check messages on, or include contact info in your profile.

- Please don't submit multiple versions of the same video or very similar videos for several songs. If you really have to re-submit a new version of your video, remove the original from the group and note that your new video is a re-submission.

- If your video is rejected, chances are there's a good reason for it. Please don't continually re-submit the same videos.

- This is not a place for your videos of older NIN songs. Please only upload videos that include at least some music from Ghosts. (more)

Over the past several months, the SmartPower & YouTube Clean Energy Ad Challenge has helped clean energy tap into the creativity and talent that is widespread across the YouTube Community and the Web as a whole. We created this project because we were confident that the creativity of the YouTube community was matched by your commitment to helping clean energy become a growing part of the solution to climate change and energy independence. And we were right! With almost 150 submissions, the YouTube community is helping to prove that clean energy is real. It’s here. And it’s working!

Now, comes the moment we’ve all been waiting for – ANNOUNCING THE WINNER!

The judging is done, and the winner has been chosen. In addition to our one $10,000 winner, the SmartPower judges have selected 9 other finalists. So, in the spirit of “American Idol,” we now share with America all Top Ten ads!
