About Me:

Most of the videos feature a homemade console I call the Barrettone Hyperphonic. I've always been a fan of the older type jukeboxes with a visible playing mechanism. But since the real thing is so big and expensive I drew up some plans, rounded up some parts and built this thing. It's a work in progress. The BSR mini-changer has an Audio Technica MG-29 (Red Ed) cartridge aligned for 7 inch records, and the 8 watt tube amp was built from a kit. The one-tube preamp and power supply I made from a schematic was the most difficult part of this project. All videos prior to Feb 09 had a solid state preamp in use while I was building (and rebuilding) the tube phono stage.
The Pioneer turntable has the same Red-Ed cartridge in it and is series wired for mono.
The Parasound is the only turntable I have that plays in stereo.
The banged-up looking Dual 1214 has a Shure M78S cartridge in it. I use it for playing 78s.
Sorry but I can't take any requests. Recently there have been copyright issues affecting other people who post records playing and I may find myself restricted to what I can upload in the future.

Love the jukebox! And the Banana Splits song, too! I found you thru People, I Love You. I love vintage equipment too. I have my grandparents Motorola console (still sounds so good); some old Firestone radios (I love the aqua one!); a Zenith Allegro turntable/cassette portable combination...what fun! But I have no jukebox...I'm happy for you!

Awesome music collection and I really dig the Hyperphonic!

Hey dude, I like your idea of the Hyperphonic! I have an old VM case, and don't like it's small tube amp and dinky speakers. So you inspired me to make a neat floor stand for it, with larger amp, speakers and lights. Now I know what I wanna do with that old klunker, I got it at Good Will for 4$. Gotta git some lumber now...btw, I have a juke too, see my vids.

You are absolutely great! The feeling I had seeing the record on a stereo is something I don't need to describe, because you obviously already get it! YAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! I just have to scream. Thank you!
