Most of us now recognise that the threat from climate change far out ways that from a nuclear attack from a 'rogue' state such as Iran or N Korea, yet our government is determined to waste billions of pounds upgrading nukes we no longer need - it's antiquated, cold war thinking.

If Britain builds a new nuclear bomb now, ignoring our long-standing international agreements under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty legal commitments, it's an invitation for every other country to follow suit and will come at a great cost the country and global cooperation.
