Hey everyone - Just to let you all know that I'm posting a new video tutorial up here (hopefully) tomorrow. It will cover the basics of the Ubuntu desktop as well as how to install software. I hope it is helpful to you!

hi laurensgr. I can't give you much help on youtube. Pop over to my website (link is in my videos) and ask the questions on the forum but to me it sounds like the installer can't see your Windows partition(s) properly. Can you confirm that the installer can/can not see the windows partition and that you have disk encryption switched off in windows XP. You should also be using NTFS or FAT32 as the windows partition type (which is normal).

hello,
ive seen your ubuntu videos and i had a question about it I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 8.10 and Windows XP but when i am in the partitioning window it looks like ubuntu doesnt see my Windows partition i only can choose for "guided use the entire disc option and the manual option" also when its installing it says it can't create the swapspace do you have an idea how to fix this problem? thanks for your time! laurensgr |
