You can do anything you want. Most good dealers do what is appropriate under the circumstances. If the player has a rail full of white and doesn't want 6 more, you do $55 for $27.

    The move is $24 each going to to $30 each. You cut out the 2 greens you will need to go to $30 each. You have over paid by $22, so you hand in $22 to the box. If you don't do $50 for $22 or $55 for $27 you will have a big red & white mess on your hands.
