Dear FuzzyMemories, all I can say is THANK YOU!!!! You made me relive a part of my childhood I had forgotten. I was actually born in Tampico, Mexico in 1974, but my father took my family and I to live in Chicago, until 1981. I had vague memories of the title cards from Channel 32, Channel 11 (a scary one by the way) Channel 44 (Space Giants, Speed Racer, the Beatles). Back then, TV in Spanish was a rare sight. I am surprised to know that now Telemundo own 44. I used to live in River North, at the intersection of Clark St and Erie St. Thanks to google maps and street view I could see what the place looks like now, You helped me remeber the TV I grew up with in my early years. Thanks again!

Who is that father and little girl at the end of that 1-900 number commercial? They looked familiar to me!

Hey Fuzzy, just wanted to drop in and tell you how much i appreciate all of your stuff. i really like the WSNS 44 and WFLD 32 stuff. i got hooked on WSNS the first time i saw the Marvel Superheroes, around 1976. 'Star Spangled Movie' , 'Science Fiction Theater' and the rest just made me a bigger fan. THANKS!!!

My God.... Thank you. I typed in Image Union just to see what would come up (a bit of a late bloomer to the web, I'm only now discovering the astonishing grass roots archive that is You Tube,) and was nearly brought to tears by the closing and opening sequences. I've already searched and found images of Wild Chicago, and of places like Maxwell Street or the Lasser's soda factory. What joy you've given me. I feel like I've been given a glimpse back upon things that I was sure were gone forever. That whistled opening of "Mack the Knife" that's on your appeal to write WGN to release material, was that used as the opening of a radio show at some point? It's one of my earliest memories, and I have no visual to go with it. I feel like it was always followed by a man talking on the radio. Thank you again! I can't get over this, really.
