Why do you say the "Indianapolis Speech" is inaccurate? It has minor discrepancies such as the ship had 1,196 crewmen in which 900 made it into the water before it sank (Quint says 1,100), the ship was torpedoed on July 30th 1945 (Quint says june 29th). Other than that it's a very close depiction and is quite accurate historically. My father was a Chief Petty Officer in the USN during WWII. I have more navy books than you could read.
