I forgot to add
Congrats also to Cookeville and Judge Memorial. You guys had some great videos also.

Thank you State Farm. The school is still shocked that they have won.
This was a great event and i hope that you can do this again next year.
I myself am very honored that i could enter the videos in your contest for the school and glad that by winning, i could do something for these guys. They made school history this year by going undefeated all the way to the State Championship Game and losing by 1 point.
Im sure that the school will use the money to make some much needed improvements to some of thier equipment.
Thank you again State Farm....You Guys Rock!!!!

It appears to be official so, from Cookeville High School, congratulations both to Bearden and Judge Memorial for two great submissions. And, thank you State Farm for hosting this contest and providing high schools across the country with a forum to showcase their young athletes as well as an opportunity to bring new funds into their school budgets.

From Judge Memorial: Thanks again to State Farm and YouTube for sponsoring this contest. Congratulations Bearden and Cookeville.

In retrospect, I should not have been so open about my disapproval with the set-up of the contest. I love my players and will fight for them every minute of every day. I do not want people on this board to see my frustrations as an excuse not to recognize the real issue. All kids deserve a fair chance at being successful.
For those of you who do not see the flaws in the contest then you should look at what the parameters were to submit a video and which videos were selected.
I have nothing else to say on the matter and wish the best of luck to the finalists. God Bless.
jmfgans2 | December 08, 2007
i think this... i watched every video that was submitted before the finalist were choosen... there were only 2 videos that showed the 5 full requirments.. chs' griggs' punt return and richardson's field goal are the only 2 that showed the impact of the play not one other did they just showed the play so how do we know that it was a game changing, knock out, winning play!!

Do you think you are the only team on the list that has underprivilaged kids? how can u have got screwed? the viewers pick not state farm and what does money have to do with anything? I was a senior on the CHS team who has the number two and three video picks and we most definately are not a richy rich school at all. The contest is about atleticism and play making which obviously your video did not show so quit wining. suck it up
seabee80 | December 07, 2007
Oh my god! Guy you are saying that because you think your kids are underprivledged that they should just be HANDED something?
cmon dude....get off your high-horse. Who is to say that the schools that ARE in the finalist group are so well to do? ive watched the videos and some of those schools fields dont look to me like they are from some big richy rich high school stadium or something. You are acting like you were SUPPOSED to win or something. One thing is for certain...never count on winning until the clock runs out. i would imagine that everyone that submitted a video felt like thiers was the best but your attitude sucks and for that you didnt even deserve to be in the finalist group.
CoachBeason | December 07, 2007
I think the finalist selections for the Friday Night Feats contest has been one more "F-U" to my underpriveligeed kids that had earned they had to have thier play be the best I will go to my grave feeling like we were screwed and believe me we will s[ead the word about the way we were treated by State Farm insurance...

Pitiful. do you guys act like that win you lose a ball game? the rules stated that the videos with the top ratings would be picked. and who's fault is it that a schooldidnt find out about the contest until a few days before it started? not state farms fault. jeez....i see football fans at ball games act the same way you guys are sounding. "we lost because of the refs" "blah, blah, blah"
Thanks State Farm for the contest and i wish all the finalists GOOD LUCK!
